Paker turns one!
What a joy to have lots of family around to celebrate Parker's first birthday, as well as the 4th of July. We were surrounded by aunts, uncles, cousins, grandpas, grandmas and even great grandpa and great grandpa to help Parker eat her butterfly ice cream cake.
You will notice the progression of her first bite to a complete disappearance of her ice cream cake portion, which largely landed on her face instead of her mouth. But, she LOVED it! Needless to say, she went straight to the tub afterwards.
Hiking in Glacier National Park
This last week we traveled up to Kalispell and spent Parker's birthday week and weekend with family. On July 2nd - Parker's 1st birthday, we took the girls to Glacier National Park with my parents and hiked Avalanche trial, a 2.3 mile hike up to a beautiful, pristine, glacier lake surrounded by a wall of cliffs and rock with four cascading waterfalls - breath taking! Haven hung in there and hikedd 70% of the 4.5 mile round trip! What a trooper! It was a gorgeous day and we celebrated Parker's birthday among God's majestic creation.
