Bath time

Both girls love bath time together. Haven can sing her little heart out with an adoring audience - at least at this point since Parker is more interested in getting her mouth around all the bath toys. Such cute faces! =0)

Big Sky, Montana

Wow. Big Sky was an incredible visual experience for me. I couldn't believe how beautiful and clear it was this past weekend. You could see for miles and miles and miles... I was able to hang out with my hubby while he had to attend a orthopedics conference. The girls stayed with Nana and I was free to play and ski for the first time in EIGHT YEARS!! I guess living in Southern California and having babies stalls the ability to hit the slopes. It took a day to feel comfortable on those two long sticks again, and the second day I was whizzing down the hill without fear or thought of breaking my legs. Nate, of course, snowboards like a pro. He was very patient with my constant switchbacks down everything green and easy (I did manage one blue run by the end). I loved it. We already have decided to take Haven next year and get her on the slopes when she is 4. I swear everyone shorter and younger than me were beating me down all the hills. Not fair... but so cute!

Up to Havre for the New Year...

We also traveled to north central Montana to visit my grandparents. Of course they love spending time with the girls and having a full house. Haven also got her hair cut from cousin Keelie who just graduated from the Aveda beauty institute. Haven LOVES to get her haircut and was so excited her friend "Keewie" was going to treat her to a trim!! I was also able to capture a beautiful sunset over the wind swept white wheat fields.

Merry Christmas!!

Here are some various shots of the Speer and Flatau crew at Christmas! We love being surrounded by family during this special time of year. Haven flew through her gifts like a little tornado and Parker snatching up any tissue or left over gift wrap. Nate played Santa in his very festive boxers and I enjoyed soaking up some free time while I had my parents around to help out! Yea for grandparents!! I hope you created warm and special memories as well...

Our Christmas Tree

Haven turns 3!

We had a Cowgirl birthday party Thursday night and filled our home with 12 three year olds all dressed up in their western wear! It was loud and crazy, but so much fun! Haven loved seeing all her friends show up at her front door to help her celebrate. We had some games, a horse pinnata, food and chocolate cake! One of Haven's favorite birthday gifts was a pair of roller skates from Nana Jill. We have had a few falls already, but she still wants to put them on and go!

Haven's Christmas Preschool Presentation

Nate and I were cracking up over the fact that our firecracker of a daughter who loves to sing at the top of her lungs to Jingle Bells was very calm and subdued during her preschool Christmas program. She was really enjoying the show going on around her! Our favorite part was when the kids wore their garland jingle bell crowns to sing their favorite song - Jingle Bells! We loved being able to be a part of our first "school function" as parents. Haven loves preschool and we are thankful for such a special place for her.

Thankgiving

We had a very relaxing Thanksgiving! We spent the day with Papa Bruce and Nana Jill and enjoyed exceptional food, took long siestas after the tryptophan kicked in and played cards long into the evening. Haven decorated her ginger bread house but we sort of gave up after the roof collapsed. I just don't have the patience for those things!
